A charcoal basket sits in the firebox and gives the charcoal better airflow, so your kamado comes up to temperature more easily. After grilling, lift the basket and shake off the ash and small pieces – the rest of the charcoal is ready for next time. It also makes it easy to put charcoal on just one half of the grill.
